Bénodet Between land and sea

Discover Bénodet on 5 not-to-be-missed walks. The most emblematic is the Boucle des Corniches. This route, which is accessible to all, skirts the beaches of Bénodet and offers a breathtaking view of the Bay of Bénodet and the Glénan Islands from the Pointe Saint-Gilles. Along the way, you’ll pass seaside villas and the banks of the River Odet.

It takes you all the way to Plage du Letty and its Mer Blanche, an unspoilt natural area ideal for walkers and nature lovers.

Whether you’re more of a stroller or a hiker, Bénodet’s signposted footpaths are full of surprises between the sea, the estuary and the countryside. The GR34 – also known as the customs path – takes in the coastline and its superb panoramic views of the Glénan islands, theOdet and the golden beaches. From the corniche to the Coq lighthouse, via the Plage du Trez, every step is worth a diversion. And with five signposted trails to discover, your trainers won’t have stopped thanking you!

Cycling here means freedom! With its gentle paths, landscapes between sea and countryside, and a coastline that’s just right for cyclists, the commune is ideal for two-wheeled excursions. The V45 cycle route takes you along the coast for some peaceful, contemplative moments. A fifteen-kilometre cycle route can be found on the map of the town, available from theTourist Office or online.
