Discover Bénodet With my dog

Would you like to stay in Bénodet with your four-legged friend? Then you’ve come to the right place!

Facing the Glénan islands and on the banks of the River Odet, Bénodet has everything you need for walks between the sea and the countryside with your dog.

On the beach

A prefectoral decree bans dogs from Finistère beaches from June 1 to September 30. A municipal by-law bans dogs from Bénodet beaches all year round, except from 31 October to 1 May on the Coq and Saint-Gilles beaches.

However, our friends the dogs can swim from the coves:

  • Cale de Penfoul
  • Quai Commandant l’Herminier slipway
  • Cale Saint-Thomas
  • Cale du Bac
  • Corniche access ramp (cale des douaniers)

Our favourite walk walk along the 4 beaches of Bénodet

FromAnse de Penfoul, follow the Corniche de l’Estuaire through Bénodet’s two harbours to Plage du Trez. Continue along the Corniche de la Mer to Le Letty. For a walk in the heart of nature, you can venture as far as theAnse du Petit Moulin, whose wooded surroundings and marshy areas contrast with the coastline.

Dogs must be kept on a lead. This is a protected area: the Mer Blanche and the Mousterlin polders.

Dog poo bag dispensers are available all along the coast and in the town for responsible and pleasant walks.

At the tourist office

Dogs are allowed into the tourist office too!

We’ve even got a bowl for them to quench their thirst.
