Fishing in the Odet
The River Odet, often dubbed the“most beautiful river in France“, is a favourite spot for freshwater fishing. Its green banks and calm waters are perfect for an afternoon’s fishing. Please note, however, that angling is prohibited from the Phare du Coq to the Pont de Cornouaille.
No need for a fishing licence
Good news for occasional anglers! You don’t need a fishing licence to go angling in the Odet river between Bénodet and Quimper. So you can bring your rod and bait and enjoy a simple fishing session.
Sea fishing
Bénodet, with its direct access to theocean, offers plenty of opportunities for sea fishing. Species vary depending on the season and the fishing spot, but you could potentially find sea bass, sea bream, mackerel and many others.
Fishing spots
Jetties and rocky areas are good places for sea fishing. More experienced anglers might also consider a boat trip to explore the more remote seabed.
