The Beaches

During your stay in Bénodet, you can enjoy four beaches, each with its own charm! Whether you’re a fan of swimming, lazing around or strolling with your feet in the sand, each beach has its own unique atmosphere, between peaceful coves and vast golden expanses. And to top it all off, marvel at the breathtaking view of the Glénan archipelago, which looms on the horizon like a promise of escape.

La Plage du Trez

Bénodet’s long beach, 800 m long, is the town’s most popular with tourists. It has been awarded the Handiplage label, boasts a magnificent view and offers a wide range of services: windsurf, dinghy, catamaran and paddle boat hire, Mickey’s club for children, etc. This family beach is supervised from 12pm to 7pm in summer.

There are restaurants and ice-cream parlours, and it’s an ideal place to stroll in the evening and admire the sunsets.

La Plage du Coq

A small beach located between the River Odet and the ocean, it offers a lovely shady promenade. It can be spotted by the Phare du Coq (Rooster lighthouse), named after a nearby rock, now lost, which resembled the shape of a rooster in profile. This beach is ideal in the late afternoon when it is flooded with sunshine.

The sunset spot in Bénodet

At Plage du Coq, the sun slowly sinks, and then everything catches fire. The sky goes from flamboyant red to a soft purple, while the waves catch the last golden reflections. It’s a suspended moment, where you let yourself be carried away, forget everything and just… contemplate.

Pointe Saint-Gilles beach

Located between the Trez and Coq beaches, this 200 m-long cove is close to the orientation table and offers an exceptional view of the Mer Blanche. Children can play and fish between the rocks. As soon as the swell rises, kitesurfers can practise their passion.

The Letty Beach

This atypical, wilder beach faces a dune lagoon of fine sand. It’s a magical place where currents, sand and clear water combine to create an exceptional spectacle. This beach is also ideal for practising a wide range of water sports, either on your own or via the supervised courses offered byUCPA. Accessible to all, this Natura 2000-listed site is just as appealing to water sports enthusiasts as it is to lovers of unspoilt countryside.
