During your stay in Bénodet, you can ake your pick from four beaches, each with its own charm! Whether you’re a fan of swimming, lazing around or strolling along the shore, each beach has a unique atmosphere, from peaceful coves to vast golden expanses. And to top it all off, marvel at the breathtaking view of the Glénan archipelago, a chain of islands that you’ll spot on the horizon like a promise of escape.

La Plage du Trez

Bénodet’s long beach stretches 800 metres, and is the most popular with tourists. It boasts a stunning view and offers a wide range of services including windsurfs, dinghies, catamarans and paddleboard hire. It has been awarded the Handiplage label, given to beaches that are accessible for people with disabilities.  This family beach is supervised from 12pm to 7pm in summer and has a ‘Mickey’ club for children.

Along the beach you’ll find restaurants, cafés and ice-cream parlours, and it’s an ideal place for an evening stroll to admire the sunset.

      La Plage du Coq

      This small beach located between the River Odet and the ocean offers a lovely shady promenade. Here, you’ll see the lighthouse Phare du Coq, named after a nearby rock that was rooster-shaped rock but has long since disappeared. This beach is ideal in the late afternoon when it is flooded with sunshine.

      The sunset spot in Bénodet

      At Plage du Coq, the sun slowly sinks, and then everything catches fire. The sky moves from flamboyant red to a soft purple, while the waves catch the last golden reflections. It’s a timeless moment, where you let yourself be carried away, forget everything and just… contemplate.

      Pointe Saint-Gilles beach

      Located between beaches of the Trez and Le Coq, this 200-metre cove is close to the viewpoint and offers an exceptional view of the Mer Blanche. Children can play and fish between the rocks here, and as soon as the swell rises, kitesurfers can let loose and get truly carried away!

          The Letty Beach

          This atypical, wilder beach faces a dune lagoon of fine sand. It’s a magical place where currents, sand and clear water combine to create an exceptional spectacle. This beach is also ideal for trying a wide range of water sports, either on your own or by following one of the supervised courses offered by UCPA. Accessible to all, this Natura 2000-listed site is just as appealing to water sports enthusiasts as it is to those who love the unspoilt countryside.
