The Coves and the Bay of Bénodet

Bénodet has a whole series of enchanting coastal landscapes that add to its charm. Give in to the charm of its quiet coves and majestic bay, which beckon you to explore and relax.

The Bay of Bénodet opening onto the Atlantic Ocean

Pretty as a picture, Bénodet Bay opens out onto the Atlantic Ocean, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the coastline. This is where you’ll find the resort’s most iconic beaches, including Plage du Trez. The bay is also the hotspot for many water sports from swimming to sailing and kayaking. From Bénodet Bay, you can admire the Glénan archipelago in the distance and the sailboats heading out to sea. The sunsets here are spectacular, colouring the sky with a thousand lights.

Penfoul Cove the hidden corner of the marina

Sheltered from the winds, Penfoul Cove is a peaceful haven, the heart of the local yachting scene, with a charming marina. Bordered by woodland areas and rocks, the cove is an ideal place for a stroll, where you can watch the ballet of boats coming and going. From Penfoul Cove, you can take the coastal path all the way to the mouth of the Odet. Don’t forget your binoculars so you can watch the terns nesting on the pontoon!

Petit Moulin Cove a preserved natural treasure

The wilder, more secretive cove of Petit Moulin has an authentic atmosphere. It is named after a working mill, of which you can still see a few remains. The cove is a listed site and a popular place to take a stroll thanks to its tranquillity and typical Breton setting, far from the hustle and bustle of the big beaches. Please note that shellfish-gathering is forbidden here, as the cove is part of the Natura 2000 zone of the Mousterlin marshes, an area protected for its exceptional flora and fauna.
