The seaside museum
In Bénodet in Brittany, a whole art of seaside living is revealed in this pretty seaside museum. Discover temporary exhibitions all year round.
Near the Maison du Tourisme, the Bénodet seaside museum welcomes you all year round.
Faithful to the will of its legatee, Mr. Jean Boissel, the seaside museum retraces the atmosphere of sea bathing and yachting on the banks of the Odet.
You will discover a permanent exhibition dedicated to coastal leisure and the first sea bathing. You can also admire models, beach toys and photos that retrace the history of Finistère's first seaside resort.
This art of living by the sea is the thread of an original journey. The museography, inspired by the sea, invites you to dream with your family.
The museum offers a varied annual artistic program as well as temporary exhibitions. It highlights the sea as well as artists from here and elsewhere. The ground floor is essentially reserved for temporary exhibitions.
