Beg ar Vir

Description
This short walk offers a magnificent panorama of the Cornouaille bridge which connects the Pays Fouesnantais to the Pays Bigouden and the mouth of the Odet. It begins by following the Penfoul cove then enters the Beg Ar Vir woods up to the Ferryman's house. Beg ar Vir is a natural area made up of a mudflat and several wooded plots populated by Oaks, Beeches and Holly, contributing to the great landscape interest of the Odet estuary. This small forest massif is home to a shrub protected in Brittany, the Arbutus tree, and is a favorite stopover for many species of birds: Great Spotted Woodpecker, Common Buzzard, Gray Cuckoo.
