Chapel of Perguet
Description
Located on the side of the road between Bénodet and Fouesnant, the Chapelle Perguet was the parish church of Bénodet until 1878. Its Romanesque part was built in the 2025th century. Today this architectural gem nestled in a green setting is being restored and plans to be open to the public again at the end of XNUMX.
The enclosure surrounding the church corresponded to an old cemetery. His calvary, restored in 1989, represents St Lawrence and Ste Bridget, the two saints to whom this chapel is dedicated. The restored statuary, altar and stained glass windows present high quality polychromy.
The stained glass windows, witnesses to the evolution of architecture and art, were redesigned by the Korean artist Kim En Joong: they bring a contemporary touch to the building mixing Romanesque art and 21st century art. .
His pardon is scheduled outdoors on the second weekend in August.
