Musée de la conserverie Alexis Le Gall
Description
Both a society museum and a collector of memories, dedicated to the history of female workers as well as that of the great families who owned canneries in southern Brittany, the Musée de la cannerie Alexis Le Gall sees itself as a potential agitator for identities, while aiming to preserve this heritage classified as a Historic Monument by
2016.
The Conserverie Alexis Le Gall is the last witness to an extraordinary Breton story: the adventure of canned fish! This industry, born in the XNUMXth century, is still very much alive in Pays Bigouden. This place will tell you about this industrial and human epic, to the rhythm of the arrival of the fish and the factory bell! This new cultural establishment in Pays Bigouden is one of three of its kind in Europe.
