Created in 1985, the Blue Flag label is awarded each year to towns and marinas that meet demanding criteria in terms of environmental management, education for sustainable development, quality of bathing water, cleanliness of beaches andsustainable tourist facilities.
Today, this is a reliable benchmark for holidaymakers concerned about preserving nature and the quality of their holiday destination.
Bénodet awarded the label again
In Bénodet, this label rewards the concrete and ongoing efforts made by the commune and its partners to preserve the resort’s exceptional living environment.
The quality of the bathing water on the Trez beach is rigorously monitored. A daily clean-up is carried out during the summer season, and a number ofpublicawareness campaigns are run to preserve the coastline: sorting waste, managing cigarette butts, preserving the dunes and biodiversity.
Environmental information panels, selective collection systems and ecological events are just some of the initiatives put in place to make Bénodet an exemplary seaside resort.
