Bénodet commits For sustainable, high-quality tourism

TheBénodet Tourist Office has been awarded the Qualité Tourisme label since 2013, a distinction that rewardsconstant commitment to improving the quality of our welcome and tourist services. Since May 2024, this mark has been gradually replaced by a more ambitious label: Destination d’Excellence.

A demanding label

Bénodet Tourist Office is currently in the process of obtaining the Destination d’Excellence label. The process involves a mystery audit, guaranteeing an objective and rigorous assessment of the services provided. To obtain the label(valid for five years), the office will have to achieve a compliance rate of 95% on quality criteria and a minimum of 60% on environmental criteria for initial certification (80% for renewals).

A label with extended requirements

The Destination d’Excellence standard covers the entire tourism chain: accommodation, restaurants, cultural and natural sites, transport infrastructure, information points and leisure activities. It is based on a global approach to quality, incorporatingreception, service,accessibility and environmental performance.

The Destination d’Excellence label imposes high standards in terms of ecological transition: rational management of energy and water, waste reduction, soft mobility, digital restraint, etc. It also places accessibility and customer satisfaction at the heart of its approach, ensuring an inclusive and personalised experience for every visitor. Towards the future of tourism in Bénodet

With this initiative, the Bénodet Tourist Office is asserting its desire to ensure that the region has a long-term commitment to quality and eco-responsibility. Destination d’Excellence is thus becoming a strategic lever for building a more respectful and attractive tourism sector, tailored to the expectations of today’s and tomorrow’s visitors.

To date, more than 5,200 establishments in France have been awarded the Qualité Tourisme label. The move to the Destination d’Excellence label marks a step up in standards, particularly in terms of sustainable development and social responsibility.
