Simplify: the album title came to me as if it were obvious, at the beginning of the mixing, as if this verb contained the mission. Simplify: Paul Le Galle, sound engineer and Alexis Delong, producer, mixer, musician, me, and that's it, on this record. Simplify: which means locking yourself away, alone, for a few months, and composing songs with guitars, bass and rhythms. Having them all complete, like, before "Boire" whose anniversary tour was taking place at the same time. Simplify: and therefore imposing constraints on yourself. Like that of creating the songs from a single drum machine, an Elka Drummer One from 1969, not to sound vintage, just to have impulses, placements, simple and warm. (...) Simplify: not to sound poor, or miserabilist. Simplify and not forbid yourself anything, the flights of fancy as well as the restraints.
